Dr. Barzin Khalili, MD

Meet Dr. Khalili

Dr. Khalili is a board-certified allergist and clinical immunologist and has served as the Medical Director of the Allergy Clinic in Portland, Oregon, since 2007. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he moved to Kansas City at age four. He attended the University of Kansas Medical School, graduating in the top 10 of his class.

After relocating to Portland in 2000, Dr. Khalili completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where he trained under two internationally recognized experts in allergy and immunology, Emil Bardana, Jr., MD, and Anthony Montanaro, MD. He then completed a two-year academic fellowship in Internal Medicine before pursuing Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, studying under Dr. Sami Bahna, a globally respected authority on allergic diseases and food allergy. His fellowship provided extensive training in both pediatric and adult allergy, enabling him to care for patients of all ages.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Khalili is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in leading American and European allergy journals, covering topics such as food allergies, immune deficiencies, mold-related illnesses, drug allergies, and asthma assessment. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Outside of work, Dr. Khalili enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, Jessica, and their daughters, Rachel, Leah, and Katherine.

Meet Annie Legard, PA-C

Annie Legard, PA-C, is one of our long-standing providers, bringing over 11 years of dedicated care to the Allergy Clinic team. Before becoming a physician assistant, Annie spent five years as a clinical research coordinator in allergy and asthma studies. Inspired to have a direct impact on patients’ health, she earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health & Science University.

Having grown up with asthma herself, Annie is passionate about creating personalized treatment plans that help patients breathe easier and live healthier lives. Her approach combines clinical expertise with empathy, ensuring each patient receives care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of the clinic, Annie enjoys camping and skiing with her two children, Calvin and Olivia, embracing the outdoors whenever she can.

Meet Logan Johnston, PA-C

Logan Johnston, PA-C, has been a trusted member of the Allergy Clinic team for the past two years. A graduate of Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona (Class of 2020), Logan combines professional expertise with personal experience, having lived with allergies and asthma himself. This unique perspective helps him truly understand how allergies affect daily life and inspires his commitment to helping patients breathe easier and live better.

With prior experience in allergy care, Logan specializes in personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s needs. He is passionate about guiding patients through allergy and asthma management so they can enjoy life without limitations.

When he’s not at the clinic, Logan enjoys spending time at home with  his wife, Sam, his rambunctious son, Russell, and his lovable (and sometimes overly anxious) dog, Junie
